Distance Learning
Our flexible approach offers you a range of study options. You can study by distance and flexible learning, which allows you to combine your studies with work or other commitments. For many of our undergraduate courses, you may be able to study full-time with local teaching support, through our campuses and study centers.
What is distance learning?
Distance learning allows you to study wherever you are, arranging your studies around your work or family life. You learn using study materials and online learning resources that are designed for active learning. You can also connect with other students on your course around the world via your virtual learning environment
Research Learning
The School of Advanced Study at the Kesmonds International University of America focuses on research based teaching methods. Introduced in 2017, it is a driving force for knowledge sharing across the humanities. The Kesmonds International University of America Research Institute (KIURI) serve as a base for an international community of humanities scholars at all career levels; inspire, develop, and support innovative research initiatives and networks; and provide specialist research training at the master’s, doctoral, and postdoctoral levels.
Kesmonds International University of America Research Institute (KIURI) provides an unrivaled scholarly community in which to pursue postgraduate study and research. Students learn from leading specialists in their fields, hone their research skills in highly regarded training programs, expand their knowledge through an extensive calendar of events, and become part of a worldwide network of research scholars. Postgraduate research studies include Masters of Arts MA, Masters of Research MRes, and Masters of Business Research MBRes, Masters of Philosophy MPhil, and PhD programs. On Campus and Teaching Centers
Kesmonds International University of America has established on campus programs through her campuses and study centers worldwide. Now you can study full time or part time for a Kesmonds International University of America degree with the support of recognized teaching center in your country.
We have a long track record of working with Recognized Teaching Centers worldwide that provide local support for your studies. This could be in the form of a full-time study program, or part-time evening or weekend classes. Centers also provide library resources and access to computers. The larger centers may also offer social and recreational facilities. Gain a prestigious KIU degree supported by a local Recognized Teaching Centre, or independently via web-supported distance learning.
Exams
Every course at KIU is evaluated at the end of the program. Undergraduate and postgraduate students are evaluated 50% on course work and assignments and 50% on system exams. Post graduate students are required to provide 15 to 20 page summary of every course. Doctorate students are evaluated through research based presentations, conference papers and articles. In some cases they are required to take system or jury based evaluation. Doctorate students are required to write 25 to 35 page summary of every course with a research article or conference paper. Every doctorate student must summit a minimum of 6 research publications within 27 to 36 months. E-Campus
The KIU E-Campus allows those with time or lifestyle constraints to further their education without having to attend classes at physical campus locations. The University’s E-Campus allows you to schedule your education around YOU. Courses at KIU’s E-Campus are available 24 hours a day. This is a unique opportunity for persons of all works of life to earn an accredited degree without seating in a classroom. KIU’s E-Campus provides online records whereby students can view their admission records, financial records, academic records i.e. courses enrolled, grades achieved, and tract their results.
Forums, E-Chat & KIU Network
University’s E-Campus provides online forums whereby students will have an opportunity to view previous threaded discussions, post new questions, share information, ideas and questions for a particular program or course. University’s E-Campus provides an online chat room that allows group discussion, where the course tutors, managers and students will be able to share ideas and information. KIU understands the need to equip students with outstanding knowledge and competence to meet up with the developing professional needs in today’s demanding knowledge economy. As the opportunities and challenges are global, KIU has made a series of initiatives to help students update themselves on the industry trends and best practices across the globe in their respective disciplines of choice.
E-News
University’s E-Campus provides up-to-date news and information about events organized by the university. There are two types of learning interactivities that is available on KIU’s E-Campus Interaction with content that comprising of study guides, lecture notes, reference books, video/audio lectures and other relevant study materials. Interpersonal Interaction includes both instructor-student and student-student communication without regard to time and place. Students using the University’s E-Campus will also be able to view and access the following information online:
· Quarterly reports on KIU activities and new updates.
· Personal records including program enrolled, home address, contact phone number, number of credit hour required for completion of the program, a list of courses required, and list of courses that are exempted.
· Paramount E-Campus offers over 23,000 online e-book for student reference.
· Financial records including total tuition fee, tuition fee paid and balance of tuition fee.
· Academic records including course grades, credits earned grade point average and Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA).
E-Conference
This is a virtual platform that provides an opportunity for students to listen to and interact with prominent scientists, scholars, engineers, industrialists, and students from across the world. E-conferences help students to gain insights on current research and trending topics in their subjects of choice. KIU strives to bring subject experts, scholars and others from all over the world to participate in E-Conferences (without physically needing to be there) for the benefit of the student community.
