Kesmonds International University, (KIU America) is poised to advance as an independent international association delocalized in Cameroon. In this context, top-ranking officials from the
Ministry of External Relations, The Ministry of Territorial Administration and Decentralization, and the Ministry of Higher Education visited the University’s Campus in Ngaoundere, Chief
town of the Adamawa Region of Cameroon. This visit was accompanied by prominent regional authorities including the President of the Adamawa Regional Council, Senators, Divisional
Officers, Lord Mayors, State Security agents, Traditional authorities, Political leaders, members of business community and parents. The presence of local authorities and community leaders
highlighted the collaborative effort needed to advance education in the Adamawa Region. Their involvement not only reflects the university’s importance to local development but also fosters
an environment of shared responsibility for educational outcomes. The visit aimed to evaluate KIU’s strategic agenda/ Plan of action for Cameroonians, particularly its focus on the
industrialization of education and the development of affordable professional training programs.
Given the pressing need for a skilled workforce in Cameroon, the university’s initiatives are timely and relevant. The event started at 1:30 PM, with the singing of the National Anthem, a word from the President of Kesmonds International University, who welcomed all participants, gave an overview of Kesmonds International University, its various programs and accreditations, then
followed a speech by the Representatives of the three Ministries who explained the reason for their visit.
A question and answer session was open by the ministries representatives to Kesmonds International University’s Directors and the regional/ local authorities present at the event. This
session aimed at finding out Kesmonds relation with the local authorities. The response from the local authorities present sounded positive as they are so much impressed with the presence of
Kesmonds International University in their region. The senator stated that: “Kesmonds International University has been so active within the region and has accompanied her in many
projects that has gone a long way to empower women and the entire population of Ngaoundere, through its skill base programs like the wine production, the production of house base yoghourt
and the fabrication of soap”. The lord Mayor of Ngaoundere III affirmed being in collaboration with KIU in training local inhabitants on skill base projects. A parent during the session added
that: “The presence of Kesmonds International University in Adamawa has come to reduce cost as they had to send their children to other regions to study specific programs which initially were
not available in the region before the coming of KIU”. The Lord Mayor, SDO and law enforcement officials approved of being in good collaboration with the University.
The delegation engaged with university’s leadership, present was; The President of Kesmonds
International University, The Director of partnership and Public Relations, Director of Business
affairs, The campus Director of Kesmonds Ngaoundere and the entire staff members. Discussions were focused on strategies to enhance educational offerings and ensure alignment with national objectives.
The officials toured round various facilities, including laboratories, factories, and classrooms to access resources available for student training. The hands-on evaluation was crucial for understanding how KIU plans to equip its students for the workforce. The recent visit to
Kesmonds International University (KIU) by high-ranking officials from various ministries was not only a pivotal moment for the institution but also garnered significant media attention. Local media outlets, including CRTV, Canal 2, and other regional news stations, were present to cover
the event, ensuring that the discussions and evaluations reached a broader audience.

university’s President, Ministries representatives and students, capturing a diverse range of perspectives on the university’s mission and its efforts to secure delocalized status. This coverage
