CPHIA 2023 is taking place 27-30 November 2023, in Lusaka, Zambia, under the theme “Breaking Barriers: Repositioning Africa in the global health architecture.” This year's conference aims to showcase Africa's remarkable progress as a hub for science, innovation, and generator of new knowledge and health solutions.
Hosted by the African Union and the Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (Africa CDC), in collaboration with the Zambia Ministry of Health and Zambia National Public Health Institute, CPHIA 2023 builds upon the successes of previous conferences. The inaugural CPHIA 2021 attracted over 12,000 delegates and featured 230 speakers in a virtual format, while CPHIA 2022 gathered more than 2,800 scientists, policymakers, and advocates in person in Kigali, with an additional 11,625 participants joining online.
CPHIA 2023 promises engaging discussions on various aspects of public health through abstract presentations, plenaries, and parallel sessions spanning nine conference tracks. Additionally, the conference provides a platform for dozens of official side events that further enrich the experience.
