Kesmonds International University KIU was founded as a non-denominational institution with the goal of advancing the professional and personal ambitions of its students by providing a demanding, yet supportive educational experience. The University was established by a corporate charter with the Secretary of State in Delaware USA with file number 6397318. With a focus on entrepreneurial education and based on the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights (Article26). KIU believes that Higher Education is a Human Right and professionalizing higher education is the basis of personal development. KIU has campuses and study centers in Cameroon, Kenya, Somalia, Uganda, Romania, Zambia, Affiliated campuses in Ghana, Nigeria, DRC, South Sudan and Does Not Offer On-Campus Programs In The United States.

Kesmonds International University KIU is a nonprofit and apolitical institution that provides reduced-cost higher education facilities to students from low-income backgrounds. The university has in the past 5 years provided training to about 1000 students in Cameroon, Ghana, Somalia, Uganda, Kenya, Togo, Mali, Burkina Faso, Zambia, etc. As a non-profit institution, KIU depends on the following funding sources:
